Omved Mint Lip Balm Review

Hi,

Sorry for not posting for this long. Anyhoo, I am back. Today I am reviewing Omved Mint Lip Balm.

What it Claims:
100% Pure.
Hydrate and Protect your lips with Omved's Mint Lip Balm.
The lip balm has a rich blend of shea butter, kokum butter, and lightly scented almond and mint oils. This wonderful balm seals in the moisture and eliminates dry, cracked lips.

Ingredients:
Kokum and sheabutter, almond & mint oils.

My Experience:
It is really good to know that there are many products today in the market that are free from harmful chemicals. Omved is one such company providing skin friendly products. My first introduction to Omved was through Blisscovered. I got their foot soak and loved it. Omved people were sweet enough to send few products for me to review. One of the products was this lip balm.

The packing is very lovely. It comes in a simple aluminum tub. But the one I got doesn't close that securely. Dont know if its a fault in my lip balm or all the other packing is like it. So it makes it difficult to take it with you during travel.

The lip balm is a clear balm with fresh mint fragrance. I really like how refreshing the mint feels on the lips. The lip balm does moisturize and the best part is that it is not sticky. I have dry lips and gives needed hydration. But I cant comment on whether it will work on chapped lips. Stays on lips for a decent time. It works really well as a base of your lipsticks also. So I am liking it.

The best part about this lipbalm and other Omved products is that it is free from harmful chemicals such as parbens, silicones and other harmful chemicals.

The people from Omved have also sent in this information to me.

Omved is the first and only Indian company to be accepted by the SKIN DEEP org as being rated SAFE!! you can see our rating for all our products here http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/company.php?comp_id=3711a few ingredients have been rated toxic if used in large amounts like henna, gold leaf etc but ofcourse our formulations that use them have used them sparingly)
The only con for me is that it is expensive. This balm costs Rs.250 for 8gms of product. But I think it is totally worth it, considering you can use it for a long time and you also avoid many harsh chemicals :)

Swatch:

Pros:
Comes in a lovely Aluminium packing
Love the mint flavor
Gives good hydration to the lips.
Does not feel sticky on lips
Great to use as a lipstick base
Free from many harmful chemicals
Certified to be safe on skin

Cons:
Expensive. But it is worth it.
Some may feel that the hydration is not enough. I am satisfied with this one.
Tub Packing
Availability. They have stores in Bombay and Pune. It is available online at Healthkart.com and Urbantouch.com
You can also buy it online from Omved online store here
Price:
Rs.250 for 8gms

Shelf Life:
18 months

Recommendation: If you are a lip balm lover and want a skin friendly product get it.

Repurchase: Yes, I am getting the Cinnamon flavor as well :D

Will you guys buy it too??

Deborah Milano Euphoric Shine LipGloss- Shade 7 Review- Swathces

Today, I am going to review Deborah Milano Euphoric Shine Lipgloss is shade 7. They have over 14 shades to try out. You can check all the shades here

What it claims?
Lustrous shine with Blue Poppy Extract, enriched with patented shine pearls and Vitamins B and E, for ultra glossy, ultra soft lips.
For lasting hydration without feeling sticky. Special ultra-soft applicator. Hypoallergenic.

What I think?
The packaging is very different from all the other glosses I own. It has this curvy shaped gloss with a long wand. It comes in a regular doe foot applicator. The applicator is really soft and flexible. Its very comfortable to apply the lip gloss.

On the tube and on the hand swatch it looks like a pink gloss with shimmers. But on application it goes very sheer like a transparent gloss with shimmers. This is only particular shade that will look great on any skin tone. You can easily carry off this on top of a lipstick or wear it just plain. It actually makes my lips look plumper and my lines are less reduced. It is not drying and makes lips feel soft.

The pigmentation is decent. But I find it to be a little sticky. Though they claim it to be non sticky. I don't know if its the piece I got is sticky or all the lip glosses are like that. It stays for around 2 hours or so on me. I am a person who keeps on biting my lips. So nothing stands on my lips for long. Even it after completely wears off you can find a few glitters sticking on your lips. But once you wipe it comes of neatly.

Its a little expensive for a lip gloss. It costs Rs.595. But you can get at very much lesser prices in many online stores.

Swatches:

Its a decent gloss. If you are a lip gloss lover, one more gloss to add to your kitty.

Repurchase: Maybe.

Recommendation: Yes. It has some very pretty shades to try out.

So, what do you think of this lip gloss? Will guys get it??

Maybelline Colorama Nail Polish- Glitter Prata- Swatches- NOTD

Hi Beauties,

I saw this polish in Poohkies blog for the first time. I love it and I knew I had to get it. So during one of my shopping sprees as a habit was checking out nail polish before the final billing. And I found this one :P

I love this polish. I am always a fan of silver and gold polishes. This is a silver glitters in clear polish ( hope that makes sense). This is a great polish for layering with other colors. But I like it even more to apply without any other nail polish. I have been wearing it for more than a week and still it has not started chipping.

If you like glitter polishes get this one. Can be worn in different ways. The affordable prices is an added advantage. Get it girls :D

On my nails. I have just two coats. It will look even more gorgeous when you wear three coats. Pictures taken in natural light.

I don't know whether maybelline as a gold one. I couldn't find it. But know Faces has one. I am getting it this week :P

So girls, will you wear this polish??

The Body Shop Spiced Vanilla Hand Cream Review

I am obessed with washing my hands often. I need to use handwash everytime I wash my hands. Call me crazy, but I can't help it. This crazy activity of mine got even more worse after the baby came. I know what you are all thinking. Why can't I use hand sanitizers. Well I think, only when I use handwash I get a feeling of clean hands :P As I said can't help it. And the result of this, Super Dry Hands!! So I need good amount of moisturizer was needed. Earlier till the time I was working regular my regular body lotion moisturising was enough for me. But now, everything is different. All my activity is mostly around my kiddo and so my regular lotions do not work in giving the needed moisturising effect. So I was searching for a good hand cream, that is when I picked up The Body Shop Spiced Vannila Hand Cream.

Doesn't the name itself tempt you. It tempeted me for sure :P And the packaging, love it!!

What it claims:

This moisturising hand cream is scented with vanilla and a hint of spice. It helps to condition nails and leaves hands feeling softer and smoother.

• Moisturising
• Conditions nails
• No parabens

Ingredients: (from the website)

Key Ingredient(s)

Community Fair Trade beeswax
Our Community Fair Trade beeswax comes from Cameroon, where it is harvested naturally from hives made of local, sustainable materials. The hives last six months only so that the bees living in them stay healthy.

Full Ingredients

Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Glycerin (Humectant), Cetearyl Alcohol (Emulsifier), Myristyl Myristate (Emollient), Glycine Soja Oil (Emollient/Skin Conditioner), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate (Emulsifier), Ethylhexyl Palmitate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil (Emollient), Cera Alba (Emulsifier/Emollient), Glyceryl Stearate (Emulsifier), Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Emollient), PEG-100 Stearate (Surfactant), Parfum (Fragrance), Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil (Emollient), Dimethicone (Skin Conditioning Agent), Panthenol (Skin/Hair Conditioning Agent), Phenethyl Alcohol (Fragrance Ingredient), Caprylyl Glycol (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer (Stabiliser/Viscosity Modifier), Disodium EDTA (Chelating Agent), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Adjuster), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Salicylate (Fragrance Ingredient), Coumarin (Fragrance Ingredient), Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone (Fragrance Ingredient), Hexyl Cinnamal (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract (Natural Additive), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster).

My Experience:

I got it during a sale at 50% off. Isn't that awesome. This is a Limited Edition product ( according to makeup alley)
Let me start by saying I love the smell. Its more of a spicy smell than  vanilla. Absolutely love it. Love the packaging. Love the tube packaging with flip cap.

The cream is not too thick or runny. Just right to use as a hand cream. I love how my hand feels and smells. It does make your hand soft. But moisturising effect for me is not satisfying. But when you use the cream regularly you will note that your hand becomes very soft. I totally loved it.

But it is quite expensive for the amount you get. I need to use it often. So just 30 ml tube will not even lost a whole month for me. I have got another hand cream so switch between the two. Since I dont want to finish it soon, use it very carefully. I love the smell and hope to get it if I find it again. I cant comment on its staying power. But I would recommend it to people who like some light cream to use. You do not have to worry about getting finger prints on all the products you touch. It gets absorbed completely.

You will need very little for both your hands.

Pros:
Love the smell
Love the packaging
Gives decent moisturizing
Gets absorbed into the skin easily
Makes skin soft
With regular use, skin feels soft.
Free from parabens

Cons:
Expensive for a 30 ml product considering how often we will use hand cream.
Limited Edition product.
Available only at TBS outlets

Nothing else. I am totally loving the smell and how soft it makes my hand. So I would mind shelling a few bucks to get it if it is available again :D

Price: Around 395 Rs. I got it on sale at 50% off.

Shelf Life- 3 years.

Repurchase:Yes!!!

Recommendation: Yes. If you don't mind shelling out Rs.400 for an hand cream. I promise you will love it. If you find it grab it :D

Hope you find this review helpful :)

Have a nice day.

Deborah Milano Kajal Pencil Shade 104 Review- Swatches

I am really not a kajal person. I have small eyes and super dark circles so I avoid using them. Even if I am using a kajal I try to use only on the 3/4th of the waterline. I got this Deborah Milano kajal pencil for review. I have the shade no: 104. The color is black. These pencils are available in six shades. You can check them out here.

What the company claims:
A soft pencil that leaves ultra-deep colour. Easy to blend in. Safe for use also inside the lashline.

Ingredients:

My Experience:

I am very particular when it comes to using eye products. Lately my eyes have become dry and sensitive so refrain to limited products. The product comes as a regular pencil. You need to sharpen the pencil. The color is super pigmented. But doesn't show up that much when applied on waterline. It did not cause any itiching or redness after I used it. So I think people with sensitive eyes will not have any issues. It does smudge. I think this will be great for people love smuged eye liner looks. Staying power is about 4 hours without much smudging. You can make it last longer by setting it with powder. I did not try that way.

Swatch: Just one swipe

What I liked:
Highly pigmented
Did not itch my eyes
Liked the staying power
Safe to use on water line
Great to use for smudged line looks

What I did not like:
Need to sharpen. This will lead to wastage.
Some may not like the staying power
Not smudge free
Availability of Deborah products are limited.

Overall a decent product for kajal lovers.

Price: Rs.200. Available at lower prices in many online shopping sites.

Ok. I was skeptical whether to share me wearing the pictures because of my ugly dark circles, that does not even hide with concealer application. Then, I wanted to give you guys an idea on how it looks on the waterline. Its my blog and I know my lovely readers will be kind to me :P So, posting two pics.

Pls, Pls, Ignore the dark circles and focus only on the Kajal ok :P These are two different pics.

Kajal only on the waterline

Used the kajal as eyeliner  and on waterline in this one

So what do you think of this Kajal.

Recommendation: Yes, if you love Kajals and do not worry about a little smudging.

Repurchase: I am really not a Kajal person. But I want to get the brown shade. Its inexpensive when you get it from online shopping sites :D

Happy Weekend everyone. Have fun shopping :D

Ps: Product sent by brand for consideration.
