Jordana Cosmetics Blush- Tawny Beige- Review and Swatches

Hi Beauties,

Today I am going to review Jordana Blush Tawny Beige. Availability of Jordana products are very limited. I got this thorugh urbantouch.com. But later I couldn't find it on the site. You can get Jordana products online from coollifeshop.com and healthkart.com in India. These products are not expensive and quality is really good for the price.

I was not a blush fan untill I started reading beauty blogs. And Swetha from My Makeup Thoughts has also influenced me to try out some blushes. She is a total blush lover :) My first blush was Lakme cheek artist and it was a failure on me. It din't show up on my skin tone at all. Then, I got this one.

What the company claims:
• Color-True Tints for Cheeks
• Face Looks Youthful & Refreshed
• Accenutates, Sculpts & Contours
• Velvety-Smooth Formula Blends Easily
• Made In USA
My Thoughts:
The whole packing is different. Jordana blushes come in screw cap packing. Most of the Jordana products have screw lid. It comes with a see through cap. The whole packing looks classy and attractive. The packaging is sturdy. unlike colorbar ones.  But sadly you don't get a mirror or brush with this blush. The packing is quite sturdy but I find the screw cap a little difficult to open and close (Well I am lazy :P).

The color is a gorgeous brownish pink- coral (I am bad at explaining colors) with mild shimmers. Nothing over the top. Very pretty color. The blush is decently pigmented and it is not chalky. It blends in easily. This particular shade does not show up that much on my skin. But I love the way it makes my face glow. I mostly use this with other blushes. I use this alone when I just need a glow without looking obvious.

Ingredients (Click on the image to see a larger picture)

As you can see in the picture. It is not that finely milled as the colorbar ones. I have dropped this many a times and still the blush is intact. But with Colorbar I need to be more careful. Wastage with this blush is also less in my opinion.

This stays around 3 hours on me. I am quite happy with its staying power. And for the price it does an excellent job. I am impressed with Jordana products. I have a jumbo eye pencil and eyeshadow & brow powder with me. And they are good too.

I got this from urbantouch for around Rs.180 I guess. Yes it so affordable. After I got this, I couldn't find these on the site. Now you can get them on coollifeshop and healthkart.

Pros:
Very pretty color. Will work on all skin tones.
Strudy packaging.
Less wastage.
Decently priced.
Stays for around three to four hours.
Blends easily.
Not chalky.

Cons:
No mirror or brush provided.
Did not like the screw cap packing.
Availabilty is an issue. Especially in Chennai. I think you get these in Mumbai easily. Other places I don't know. If you guys know the places these products are available drop in a comment. Will be useful for others :)

Now lets see some swatches:

Blended
I will post some more pictures taken on day light soon.

Price: Rs.299 for 2.2gms.  I got it for around Rs.180 from urbantouch. (Now not available)

Shelf Life: 3 years.

Overall: Great blush. Not heavy on pocket and many shades available. You will find something that will work for you :) Go here to find other shades available.

So Ladies, what do you think of this blush?? Have you tried these??

Online Shopping Experience- WellnessOcean.com- Review- Haul

Hi Beauties,

I am back with another shopping site review. This time it is wellnessocean.com.

A little about the company:
Wellnessocean takes a holistic approach to well-being. By holistic, we mean considering the whole person and the choices an individual makes to nurture their body and mind – the air they breathe, the moments they take, the products they put in and on their body.

We believe that feeling close to nature helps everyone achieve a sense of balance, both with the outside world and the world within. We aspire to enhance the well-being of body, mind and soul through a holistic approach to beauty and health that is rooted in centuries of deep, collective knowledge. Wellnessocean stands for wellness through nature's gifts, which have been formulated by traditions from all over the world, to give you the benefit of time tested, chemical free products which are gentle and without ill-effects. To know more about them go here.

Words from the founder:

"Important is the caring aspect which we would like to convey. Taking charge of ones health and wellness are important aspects in today's fast paced lifestyle and so we provide detailed information on each and every product to enable the right choice.

We are very selective with regard to the choice of brands and we carry, since we aim to offer the healthy alternative to commercially available products. "

Impressive isn't it. Who doesn't love natural products. This website is completly dedicated to natural products. They have a wide range of products from different categories ranging from Organic Makeup to Yoga Products. You will find so many products that you were not aware of.

When you click each category or a product, you get detailed information about the product and the company. This will help you know about the products and also their ingredients. The products in the site are certified to be organic. This is one thing that really attracted me.

The look of the site is simple and they have different options with which you can find what you want. They even provide gifts sets. I am sure you will find something that will impress you. For me, the organic makeup section impressed me. But the products are limited only. This is to provide only products that are natural and organic.
Here are some snap shots of the site:

Organic Makeup

Products available

Brands Available

Wellness Ocean blog
They also have a separate blog that talks about various things related with yoga, aromatherapy etc. Here is the link to the blog.

They have Different payment options along with Cash On Delivery. You can know about this here. For COD option, they charge a fee of Rs.95 for orders below Rs.1500. You get free COD for offers above Rs.1500. Shipping was really fast. I made an order on 19th March and I received a confirmation mail immediately. And I received my products today afternoon. They sent a SMS to my mobile that my product is shipped and out for delivery. I would have loved if they would have sent a mail to me along with the tracking number and the company through which they ship the products. The accounts page also did not have any update on my orders made. I think this one thing they need to work on. It would be great help if they would add this facility. The products came is a neat box and everything was neatly bubble wrapped. Nothing was damaged or broken.

There are some things I wished that could be improved. The first thing is in the organic makeup section. All the products pictures are shown with the outer carton. I found it very difficult to guess the shade. Especially for lipsticks and lipglosses. It would have been better if they would add a small icon with the products to show the color above the product, like other sites do. And in the same way, it would have been nice if they would have posted the picture of how actually the product would look like. Most of the products were displayed with the cartons and I couldn't guess the color or how the product would look exactly.

They also provide customers a welcome gift (wellnessocean bag) and a gift voucher along with their order, which will give them a discount on their next purchase. I found the bag useful. It is a cotton shopping bag. Great to take with you for grocery shopping, since now most shops charge money for plastic covers :p

Pros:
Website dedicated for all things natural and organic
Details of company and ingredients are provided with each product.
Products are certified to be organic
Different payment options. COD options also available.
Fast Shipping.
Secure packing.
Useful Blog available
Pretty Wellness bag. Very useful.
Discount voucher and useful samples provided along with purchases.

Cons:
Need to update the accounts page of the products ordered.
Was not able to track my shipping.
Would have loved if they would have sent a mail along with the SMS sent about the product shipment.
Clear pictures for makeup items and adding swatches of the shades needs to be done.

Update: Guys it was my mistake of not noting down the mail they sent me. They had sent a mail with the courier details along with the tracking details. And now they have also updated my accounts page too :) I am sorry for not checking it correctly :(

And the founder has promised that they will take new pictures and add them for makeup shades issue. They are also going to install a virtual makeup studio software in the site too. Yay!!

Now here comes my haul :D

The Wellness bag with the goodies I got :P

Pamphlets of the different brands, discount voucher and samples

My Wellness Ocean Haul

My Wellness Ocean Haul

Vedantika Handmade Soap Orange
Vedantika Lemongrass Face Wash
Vedantika Rose Sandal Face Wash
Vedantika Skin Polishing Scrub

Vedantika Ant-Aging Face Mask
Biobalance Brightening Eye Cream Cream
Rustic Art Power Laundry

Free Samples: Vedantika Antic Acne face pack and Vedantika Amla instant drink powder.
Discout Voucher of Rs.200 for my next purchase :D

Overall Thoughts:
I must say I am pretty impressed with the selection of products they have. But the problem is most of the skin care products and makeup products are expensive. They do have some affordable products also. But I am not complaining, everywhere most organic products are expensive. And most products available in the site are imported.

Repurchase: Ofcourse. I am already eyeing certain products to get from there. I think I will be doing plenty of shopping from them :D

Recommendation: If you love natural and organic products do check the site out. Some products are expensive. But I would say it is worth it. You do have some affordable products available as well :)

You can check out their Facbook page here and twitter account here.

So what do think about my Haul??

Ps: Tried the Vedantika Insta glow pack and I am loving it. Anywhoo, now you know what products I will be reviewing soon ;)

PPS: I was provided a gift voucher for review purposes. I have provided my honest opinion :)

Just Herbs 8-in-1 Root Nourishing Amla Neem Shampoo Review

Hi Beauties,

Just Herbs is a new company that has brought in some wonderful products. The packaging is so truly tempting. Ok, let me come to the story why I bought it. I have super dry, frizzy and wavy hair. Taming my hair is not easy. But this problem came after my pregrancy. Though my hair is wavy it was all shiny and manageable to an extent before. I was using only Meera shikai shampoo early and loved the results. But after pregnancy everything changed :( My hair became so dry that none of the commercial shampoos worked. Then I tried fabindia aloevera shampoo and it was ok. Then all these shampoos had SLS which made my scalp itchy and further more dry. Then TBS rainforest range came to my rescue. I love it. It is free from SLS and parabens.

Then it is not surprising for a person like me to try out other stuffs right. So I wanted to find out if there are any other affordable mild shampoos free from SLS and parabens. That is how i ended up buying Just herbs Just Herbs 8-in-1 Root Nourishing Amla Neem Shampoo. I was so happy that they had a 100 ml pack. Great way to try something new without hurting your pocket right??

What the company says?? (From urbantouch.com)

Root nourishing shampoo specially for dry hair to provide strength and nourishment. Synergistically formulated shampoo to penetrate the hair shaft, strengthen the roots and nourish the scalp, while effectively cleansing the hair without stripping off its natural oils. It is a great combination of eight herbs - Amla, Hibiscus, Heena, Tigonella Seed, Neem, Vetiver, Wheatgerm Oil and Soy Lecithin. Indian gooseberry (Amla), for centuries, has been known to be effective for growth of healthy black hair, while wheatgerm oil acts as an antioxidant, soy lecithin softens and repairs damaged hair thus reducing the dryness and brittleness associated with lack of nutrients necessary for a healthy hair growth. Hibiscus naturally darkens hair colour and prevents premature greying, while neem and methi seed extracts deeply nourish and condition the hair roots thus controlling excessive hair fall.
My thoughts:
The first thing I loved about this shampoo is the packaging. Loved the gorgeous transperant bottle with a golden cap. I think it makes it look royal. How the name is printed on the bottle. Like it is from olden times. Loved everything about the bottle.

Pretty packaging :)

The smell is so amazing. Very herbal and I can definitely smell neem in it. The Shampoo is not too runny or not too thick. I usually have the habit of trying out the shampoos in different ways to know how it works. First time I use just the shampoo and skip conditioner, next mix shampoo with water and finally use shampoo along with a conditioner. I must say this shampoo actually made my hair soft and manageable in all the methods. With a conditioner I was able to control my frizz. It cleaned well. But you will need plenty of shampoo at one go. If I had applied oil, then I need to use double the amount. As you can see I have used half of the bottle. This is about 5 to 6 washes I think. So I am guessing a 100ml bottle will come for around 10 washes. Anyway I have really dense hair so I need much more than the needed amount. If you have fine hair or normal thickness it will last for some more time.

Ingredients

So, the website says their products are paraben free. So it scores on this area. But I have a doubt whether it is SLS free. Because it is not mentioned anywhere in the bottle. And one more thing is that in the ingredients list Cleansing base is mentioned. I have no idea what they have included in cleansing base. So not sure it is completely SLS free. Then it has greatly helped me relieve from dry and itchy scalp. This was due to organic surge shampoo. I dont face dandruff so I can't comment on whether it will work on it. But I did not stop my hairfall :(

Another concern for me is that that the bottle is open mouthed. We wont be able to control the amount of shampoo if you are not careful. I would have liked if they had provided a small plastic opening like other bottles. And one more thing is I would have loved a flip cap. Unscrewing and screwing the cap back is too much work while in bath. And for a person like me who has butter hands, this is something I need to be careful about :P

I think many will find it expenisve. Then most products in the herbal and organic range are priced on the higher side. I think this shampoo will be great for people who want a mild everyday shampoo. If you don't have any issues with your hair go for this. You will love it.

Pros:
Super awesome packaging
Mild herbal smell
Cleans effectively
Leaves hair soft and manageable
Helped in releiving me from dry and itchy scalp
Mild shampoo for people who shampoo everyday
Paraben free :D
Available in 100ml and 200ml packs

Cons:
Wide mouthed bottle. Need to be very careful in getting the shampoo out.
Need to use more amount than any regular shampoo
Expensive
Full ingredient list missing. I want to know what is there in cleansing base.
No clue if this shampoo is SLS free.
Did not help me in hairfall.
Availabilty. I got it from urbantouch.com. I have not seen it anywhere else.

Overall a good and mild shampoo that makes my hair soft and manageable :D

Price: Rs.225 for 100 ml. I got it for Rs.205 from urbantouch.com
Shelf Life: 2 years from the Date of Manufacture

Recommendation: Yes. If you don't mind the price and want a mild everyday shampoo go for it. I think you will love it. I suggest using a conditioner to tame frizz.

Repurchase: Yes. I will get this again for winters when my hair and scalp become super dry and itchy. I also want to try their Just Herbs Silky Strength Aloevera-Wheatgerm Moisturising Shampoo next :D

So what do you think of this shampoo? Will you get it??

Lotus Herbals Pure Color Lipstick- Review- Swatches- Rose Wood 641

Hi Beauties,

How is Monday going?? Today I am going to show one of my favorite everyday lippies. Yes, it is Lotus herbals pure color lipcolor- Rosewood :) Lotus herbals is a one of my favortis brands.Their products have never failed me. I love their lippies, skin polishers, face packs and especially Lotus herbals Micro emulsion. Likewise, this lippie is a favortie too. I love it :D

Rosewood is such a beautiful shade. It is a brownish pink lipstick. I think there is a little amount of peach in it too. And it have very fine shimmers. Very pretty and will look pretty on most skin tones. But very dark skin tones need to check it before buying, I think it may wash out for some.

The packaging is very simple and locks firmly. So no worries about taking it with you during travel. The staying power on me is very less. It stays around just 2 hours. I dont mind this.  This is one of the best lippies on the inexpensive side :) Check some pics :D

Swatches:

With Flash

natural light

Natural light
On my lips:

Price: Rs.225. I got it from Urbantouch.

Repurchase: I will surely get this color again and some other colors from this range.

Recommendation: Of course. This is for all those budget buyers :)

Luv,
Indu.

100 Followers- Thank you my dear followers

Hi Beauties,

I cant express how surprised I was when I saw 100 followers once I opened my dashboard today. I was at 99 followers for over 2 or 3 weeks. At first I was eager to know who will become my 100th follower, but after a week I dint see any improvement. I even posted on FB and Twitter (yes I was desperate, don't know why) but no response. So  I convinced myself let it happen whenever it happens. And it happened today :D :D My eyes became wide once I saw 100 followers. I still can't believe I have 100 readers who want to read my blog :P

I want to thank all who I have come to know through this blogging world. I specially have to thank Shwetha from My Makeup Thoughts. She was the first one to mail me and introduce herself after I started the blog. I don't think I would have done that to anyone if they were new :) Thanks sweet heart :-*

I specially want to thank Muks, my 100th follower for making this happen (If you are reading this, pls leave your link here I cant find a link to your blog in your profile :) Would love to visit your blog too)
I want to thank all my readers who follow my blog through different means and my anonymous readers as well. Keep on showing your love :-*

I have been busy lately. Once I free up I will work on doing a giveaway soon. I promise.

Love you guys :-)

Online Shopping Experience- 48craft.com- Review and Haul

Hi Beauties,

How are you all doing.  I am a great fan of handicrafts made with wood and paper mash. I love authentic wooden toys. I love collecting them. But finding them is not easy. Even if we find it would be priced on the higher side. Most of the time you can find it only in handicraft exhibitions. Now you can buy it online. Cool isn’t it?? Yes you can buy all handmade wooden crafts and bags from 48cart.com.

This website is awesome I must say. They have so many products that you can get only from exhibitions. The pricing of the products are reasonable and you even get to know who made it and how they make it from the description box. One thing that excited me was the tanjore dancing doll. I love this doll. I had one when I was younger but it broke. Then I have tried many places to get but unfortunately couldn’t get hold of one. When I saw the doll I had to get it :D (Btw if you know any place from where I can get this in Chennai please do share it on the comments box).
Ok, Lets see what the company say about themselves.

The site is divided neatly and the whole look is authentic. Everything is pleasing to the eyes. You will find yourself browsing to the different categories they have. If you are a lover of wooden jewels then this is the site to get them at great discounts. You like organic bags, then do check the variety they have. I really liked the jhola collections.  College goers shouldn’t miss this site in my opinion. You can get beautiful file holders, pen stands, accessories of all sorts.
Here are some shots of the site.

My Experience with 48craft.com:

I made my order on Tuesday afternoon. Immediately got my confirmation mail. And the products were delivered Thursday morning. All products came securely bubble wrapped. Along with this they had used all types of thermocol to protect the products within the box. None of the products were damaged. There are a few cons with the site too. No COD option L Another con is that though I got a confirmation mail. It was not in detail about the products I had ordered. In the same way, I did not get a mail stating the products have been shipped. These would have helped to know the status of my order better.

Pros:
The best site to get handicrafts online
You can get handicrafts from different parts of the country at one place
Detailed explanation of the products and videos on how it is made
Reasonably priced
You can get many discounts once you sign up with the site
Free shipping above rs.99
Secure transactions
Delivery within three days
Different discount options are available on sign up
Products on the Kitchen category have me certified by Unesco for Natural coloring.
Wooden toys are organic and safe for kids.

Cons:
No COD option
No proper information on the confirmation mail
They did not mail me about when the products where shipped.

Other than this I don’t have any other cons.
My suggestion is to add more stuff especially those gorgeous fabric money purses. They must definitely work on adding COD option. Hopefully they will work on this soon :d

Recommendation: Yes great site for handicrafts available at reasonable prices. If you are lover of handicrafts, don't miss this site :)

Re purchase- Yes. Please add COD option :D
Here is my haul:  Sorry for the poor pictures my digi cam ran out of battery :(

Dancing Doll (Just the doll is not available on the site now. Click here for another combo offer along with the doll)

Daren- click here for the link

2 Mobile pouches: Click here to see the different pouches on sale.

To give you an idea about the size of the puch :)

I was worried whether my phone will fit in these pouches. But luckily they are huge and spacious. Inside the pouch is cushioned well for protecting the mobile. Totally safe :)

:-)

So what are your favorite handicraft products??

Ps: As a blogger I was given a gift voucher to review their site. I have given my honest opinion on the site.
